This class is typically taken after 200 or you may be admitted If you have other prior woodworking experience, and you obtain prior consent from the instructor(s).  In this class you will learn how to learn how to use a pocket hole jig to make your own custom coffee table.  Pocket Hole joinery is the most common joint found in modern furniture.  A pocket hole joint is extremely strong and is very easy to build.   If you buy your own jig kit (e.g. Kreg® Joinery Kits sold at big box stores and is relatively inexpensive) you will be able to build virtually any type of indoor and outdoor furniture you can think of.  The instructor will furnish you with a set of plans, but you can customize as you wish. In this course you will also learn to cut dados and tenons to constrain the beautifully designed end pieces.   In this class, you will purchase all of your own wood and supplies so that you can create your own masterpiece and family heirloom.  Many projects around your home can easily be addressed by the pocket hole joinery.

Students must provide their own lumber.
